Help shape the future of education At Te T?huhu o te M?tauranga – Ministry of Education, we shape the policies, settings and performance of the education system for early learning, schooling and tertiary. Our focus is to empower the early learning sector to meet standards, drive continuous improvement and accountcapability. We do this through a mix of: » advice and guidance » support to regional staff » contracting of service providers to raise participation and quality » clarifying interpretations and determine impacts on new legislation » translating policy into practice. Do you want to make a difference for Early Learning Services? this function sits within the Early Childhood Regulations and Planning team and you will work closely with other teams including Strategy and Implementation and Regional ECE Education Advisers. Your focus will be to support sector engagement and regional education advisers. We have great people who bring enthusiasm, energy and intellectual curiosity. We work in a fast-paced environment. That’s code for, there’s always a lot to do! So, you will also be good at planning, prioritising and juggling. Among the expertise you will bring the following: » A tertiary qualification – we want some one who can think critically » Strong time management and organisational expertise » capability to connect with others, preferably some practice in an education context or working with Pacific providers or non-government organisations » capability to get stuff done, demonstrate judgement, consult and seek advice where necessary As a team we are committed to a safe and inclusive work environment.
