Our client
• Our client delivers healthcare supply chain solutions by using the best technology, systems and people, allowing those at the frontline to focus on delivering healthcare. The company processes more than 2.5 million lines a year, employs over 130 staff and has a catalogue of almost 22,000 medical and pharmaceutical consumables.
• located at the Auckland Head Office, this is an exciting opportunity for you take on an existing and established function in a well supported team environment. Due to promotion, there will be a handover from their current great Product Manager who will take you under their wing.
• You will be utilising your Nursing qualifications and knowledge, along with your knowledge of the DHB/Hospital environment as a Product Manager of their broad Medical Consumables range. Highly regarded in the market, this employer is part of a larger group too.
Purpose
• To provide advice to customers and internal stakeholders on medical consumable products, especially in regard to stock out situations where an immediate substitution is required.
• Customers include DHB Hospitals, private Surgical Hospitals, private A&E’s & Rest Homes
tasks in brief
• Procurement (ie of products, supplier liaison and negotiation, some recommendation to customer groups)
• To work closely with Customers (provide with product info, handle queries on, ensure prosperous new product implementations etc)
• Inventory (identify appropriate alternatives for out of stock product etc)
• Administration (use of Excel & SAP – training on)
• Product Knowledge (eg Maintain knowledge of developments in medical consumable products and changes in customer requirements)
• Standard Operating Procedures

• Have your Clinical training and practice within a Hospital environment valued
• An opportunity to do something different!
• Advance your career into that of Product Manager
• A former, or current Nurse, would also be welcomed, as training and Mentorship will be supplied – although there is some out and about, you would also have to have an affinity now for a desk function (clients may also visit you)
