The J R McKenzie Trust is a philanthropic family trust founded in 1940. The Trust supports organisations who align strongly with their vision of a socially just and inclusive Aotearoa New Zealand. Priorities include supporting underprivileged children and their families, and Pacific development. The purpose of this newly created function is to lead the development of the Pacific responsiveness programme and to implement the Pacific Pou Strategy. You will enhance the Trust’s connections with, and relevance to, Pacific communities and assist to embedan appropriate focus on Pacific issues within the Trust's culture, strategic activities and operational work. You will also contribute to the general work of the Trust including a mix of grant making and be involved in selection processes and support initiatives JRMT may be interested in contributing to. We are searching for Somebody with practical practice in project management, social innovation processes, community development and/or social change philanthropy. Information technology would be useful too if you had expertise and practice of key issues related to social justice and inclusion, social policy, complexity, and of the realities faced by Pacific people, as well as practice leading and guiding strategy implementation. You will be a well-regarded member of the Pacific community and have broad networks and contacts within it. You will have an interest in the Trust's objectives and core values. Importantly, you will have a real desire to bring this strategy to life for Pacific People and JRMT.
