Information technology seeks someone who will enjoy being part of Dunedin's vibrant cultural environment.The DSO's Office Manager plays a key function in contributing to the success of the orchestra's projects. this function will suit someone who is practiced, multi-skilled and motivated, who can multi-task, show initiative, work accurately under pressure, and who enjoys working with a wide variety of people (musicians, volunteers, the Board, DSO Friends, audience, sponsors, VIPs etc). A strong interest in orchestral music is desirable. The Office Manager is responsible for managing: - Monthly financial functions. - Database and payroll systems. - Concert series subscription processing, including ticketing. - Front-of-house arrangements for concerts. - Multi-faceted administrative functions of the office. - Hires of Hanover Hall, the orchestra's home. - Health and safety requirements. Essential expertise and practice for this function are: ? Xero accounting (debtors, creditors, transaction coding), Microsoft packages (especially Word and Excel), Database, Payroll. ? Excellent inter-personal, written and verbal expertise. The core function is 22.5 hours per week (with the potential of additional hours available for the prosperous candidate). There will also be evening and/or weekend work for concerts, attending Board meetings, and at other busy times.
