As the Material Planner, you will report directly to the supply chain manager in New Zealand. Your everyday focus will be to ensure the supply of our clients key materials is uninterrupted. The function: » Create and assign purchase orders for Third-Party vendors. » Create and assign STO’s for intercompany dealing. » Identify raw material shortages and take necessary action to expedite supply. » contact with Suppliers, procurance, R&D, alternative offer chain team members to minimize schedule disruption thanks to raw materials problems. » Provide freight quotes to the business team as requested. » Accurately maintain in-house freight schedule and pallet information. » Ensure correct documentation from suppliers and forwarders. » Submit significant documents to MPI for authentication. » Maintain sensible relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders to support endeavors. » Manage surplus inventory exposure and aged stock exposure. To be prosperous in the function: » Degree level qualification in Supply Chain Management/Business » Strong practice in planning functions in the Supply Chain function. » Good working expertise of ERP, MRP II and MS Office application expertise. practice in SAP PP module and APO is highly advantageous. » Strong planning and analytical expertise and capability to take complex issues and break down actions for resolutions. » A solid candidate will build robust relationships and isn't afraid to challenge choices if they see beneficial alternatives or potential pitfalls. » Possess business acumen with deep operational insight as well as an open nature and collaborative mindset that enable working cohesively with people from different functions and levels. » A driven individual with the core competencies needed to achieve a stringent and difficult operating environment.
