Legal Secretary- PropertyLocation Hutt ValleyWellington Job type Full Time Salary 65,000 to 80,000 Category Administration > Office Support & Secretarial » Opportunities for internal growth and promotion! » Excellent work culture and a collaborative and supportive work environment! » Opportunities for internal growth and promotion! Key Responsibilities: » Assisting with commercial and property work, including reviewing commercial contracts and coordinating with developers and stakeholders. » Supporting lawyers in commercial leasing tasks and ensuring accuracy in documentation. » Assisting with ConveyIT conveyancing workflow, including setting up contracts and utilizing templates and precedents. » Managing conveyancing processes and liaising with clients, property developers and banks throughout property transactions. » Preparing documents using Landonline. » Handling digital dictation, formatting documents, and data entry. » Diary management and coordinating meetings. » Managing client files, setting up clients, and assisting with settlements. » Managing your own and authors' emails, particularly during absences. » Engaging with clients via email, phone, and in-person interactions » Supporting team leader with billing and ensuring anti-money laundering processes are followed. » Assisting in team meetings, including minute-taking. Preferred Qualifications and Experience: » Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office. » Ideally experienced in ConveyIT and Landonline. » Experience in commercial property work, including contract review and commercial leasing. » Good understanding of conveyancing and settlement processes. » Previous experience working in a law office, ideally in conveyancing and commercial law. Key Attributes: » Strong relationship-building skills with staff, partners, developers, and clients. » Excellent problem-solving abilities with a logical and methodical approach. » Initiative and confidence in suggesting new ideas and approaches. » A positive, can-do attitude with a commitment to teamwork and organizational goals. » Highly organized with a strong eye for detail and accuracy.
