Job Opportunity: Management Accountant:Public Service CommissionJob description:Job DescriptionTe Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission leads the public sector to make a positive difference for New Zealand and New Zealanders.The Organisational Capcapability and Performance (OCP) group enables the Commission to deliver and perform at its best. The group provides a range of corporate services including information technology, human resources, finance, property, planning and reporting, risk and assurance. As a Management Accountant you will be providing financial advice and support to encourage and support best practice in financial management. You will partner with budget managers as a trusted advisor to provide specific, tailored financial advice and assistance. You will also undertake financial analysis and modelling and provide advice to support the Commission's business strategy and decision-making. You will have a good knowledge of financial management and best practice, with strong excel and financial management system expertise. You will be a qualified Chartered Accountant (or equivalent professional qualification) or be working towards a professional accounting qualification. A strong service ethic will enable you to quickly form trusted relationships with people at all levels, both internally and externally. practice in the public sector and a sound knowledge of the legislative framework (including the Public Finance Act) and other guidelines that apply to financial management and accounting in the government would be an advantage.
