Enjoy Contemporary Art Space is seeking aCommunication & Publications Manager. Founded as an artist-run space in June 2000, Enjoy is Wellington's longest-running independent contemporary art space.
The prosperous candidates will be passionate about generating and curating contemporary art projects. You will love working with others, talking about art and promoting the discourse of contemporary art practice across events and exhibitions, or social media and publications. This is a unique development opportunity to work with practitioners of all backgrounds within the field of contemporary art, supporting critical conversations and our place in a local and global community.
this function will work closely with the Director, the Enjoy Board of Trustees and volunteers to deliver a brave and lively programme that delivers to Enjoy's overall vision and mission. You will need to be resourceful, organised, work well with others and care deeply about contemporary art in Aotearoa.
The Communications and Publications Manager function works closely with the Director to manage Enjoy's communications, and to commission, coordinate and distribute digital and print publications on behalf of Enjoy. The function works with writers, independent practitioners and media organisations to widely promote our activities, mission and vision online, as well as delivering an ambitious and critical publication programme.
The function is an exciting opportunity to be a core contributor to a dynamic and energetic arts team, appropriate for those with interest in communications, social media marketing, writing and critical art thinking.
this function is a fixed term contract for two years.
Start date: Mid-June
