About the function
Reporting to the Operations Manager your key areas of responsibility include production scheduling of manufacturing inventory, accurate forecasting to manage seasonal influences while maintaining balanced and optimised plant loading, negotiation and procurement of consumables, inventory management, and reporting and analysis. With a continuous improvement ethos, you will look for innovative solutions to procurement and production planning processes to create efficiency gains and implement best business practice into workflows. You will lead and manage one direct report and manage relationships with suppliers and other external and internal stakeholders.
About You
Ideally you will have in-depth production planning and inventory management practice that includes the timber or building products manufacturing sector and be proficient in advanced planning optimisation tools. You will have strong forecasting, analytical and Information technology expertise and a strong knowledge of HSE compliance, together with a collaborative and respectful team and managerial style. You will be results focused with a drive for continuous improvement and best practice and be a positive function model for the company's strong culture and values around quality, innovation, service and teamwork.
