Job Opportunity: Lecturer in Design:Job description:Job detailsOrganisation Eit Hawke's Bay Closes 31 Oct 2021 Posted on 21 Oct 2021 Region Hawke's Bay Work type Full time employment Work classification Design, Education & Development ShareIDEAschool at EIT seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Design to join a team of practiced and creative educators who are committed to excellence in teaching and learning and student success.You will be encouraged and supported as you enhance teaching, learning, research, and creative activities across the design disciplines and continue with related research activities. Essential requirements include the following: » A Master's degree in design (preferably a doctorate), particularly in the fields of digital design/animation or graphic design » broad practice in teaching (both online and face-to-face) graphic design, digital design, animation, and/or digital media to degree level » Thorough expertise and practice in using design technology, centering around Adobe Suite with industry expertise The prosperous candidate may also be required to teach online courses to China-located EIT students, and when allowed, to teach EIT students face-to-face in China for short periods of time. As a result you should have an appreciation of Chinese languages and culture. We will be interested in viewing your portfolio of design work and discussing research outputs significant to the design industry.
