About the Role Requiring a contract Financial Reporting SME until the end of February, with a broad understanding of IFRS as you would be doing global reporting across the group. You would lead and Complete the Year End Financial Statement preparation for 4 Statutory Entities across NZ and Australia. You would have work from home flexibility including flexibility with the hours. Being a busy role, the team will be working 28-30 December. Some of the tasks include: » Provide Accounting advice and guidance on new and/or amended IFRS (NZ and Australian equivalents) » Responsible for Communication and Implementation of changes cascaded from Global Reporting and Accounting across the wider NZ & Australian Business' » Correctly complete the Balance Sheet Analysis for the Global Reporting and Accounting Team » Lead the Annual Financial Statement completion, ensuring a timely and correct full suite of Financial Statements are prepared in accordance with IFRS » Co-ordinate with external Auditors to ensure the Financial Statements are completed » Correctly complete month end accruals and standing journals » Reporting for 3 separate Business Units » Interpretation and application of new and revised accounting standards to the business model » Coordination of a broad range external advisors and internal stakeholders » Broad understanding of IFRS and interpretations available to minimise impact on the company operationally of new and amended standards. » Staying across potential risks to our Reporting Environment Skills and Experience » A minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar role. » Ability to manage time and resources effectively and efficiently. » ERP system knowledge, ideally SAP » Experience with complex IFRS accounting, preferably Big 4 or CA firm » Advanced Excel skills » Good written and verbal communication What Next?
