Summer Intern Programme 2021 – 2022

We are excited to announce that the next round of summer internships will be running from November 2021 to February 2022.
Our internship offers an opportunity for current University and W?nanga students and recent graduates to participate in a paid intern programme for up to 16 weeks over the summer.
What does Te Puni K?kiri do?
Te Puni K?kiri (Ministry of M?ori Development) is a progressive government agency that works within government and communities to achieve our vision ofThriving Wh?nau.
We are the Governments principal policy advisor on M?ori wellbeing and development.
We influence the work of others by bringing M?ori voices to decision makers and we invest in innovative initiatives that build the capacity and readiness of wh?nau and M?ori communities.
To achieve this, we engage with wh?nau, hap? and iwi, and partner with other public sector agencies.

What will you be doing?
Our intern placements are available right across ministry, and include:
   » Policy Partnerships & Development
   » Regional Partnerships & Operations
   » Strategy, Governance and Public Sector Performance
   » Organisational Support
Who should apply?
   » Universityor W?nanga students who have completed at least two years of study and could be studying from a broad range of disciplines
   » Universityor W?nanga students who show high capcapability or indicates a availability to lgain te reo M?ori and be immersed in te ao M?ori
   » Universityor W?nanga graduates whoare less than 2 years post-study completion.
