Kaimanaaki (M?ori Support functions):tepunamanawaJob description:Job DescriptionTe Puna ManawaHealthWEST is excited to recruit for two newly created functions, to support our M?ori whanau and communities. These important functions will be responsible for providing support and advice to wh?nau, connecting our community with information, expertise, and access to a range of community services and resources, including providing support with the COVID-19 Vaccination process.The right candidates will be committed to confidentiality and will be comfortable working in Te Ao M?ori and community, with other key stakeholders to ensure improved engagement and participation and equitable processes and results for M?ori. This exciting full-time position is ideally suited to a positive, competent, community-located person with a can-do attitude who is motivated to improve health results for M?ori, Pacific and underserved populations. Te Reo M?ori is preferred, but not essential. practice in engaging in a community-located health services would be an advantage, but equally if you feel you can make a contribution to our M?ori community, we will provide comprehensive training. You will enjoy working with our community - tamariki, rangatahi, kaum?tua and kuia – knowing you are making a significant impact on the preventative health and wellbeing of our M?ori communities. What you’ll bring to the function: » capability to proactively engage with communities, networks, and wh?nau to address priority health and wellbeing concerns » Inform wh?nau of the factual information regarding the Covid 19 vaccine, direct wh?nau to or provide legitimate resources and vaccination pathways » Invite wh?nau to participate in vaccination process - booking and or connecting to a vaccination process (M?ori and or Pacific/mainstream) engage and inspire clients and communities » Proven interpersonal expertise and the capability to influence and communicate with a wide cross-section of people » Excellent engagement, community, and network relationships, including Te Ao M?ori » Highly developed interpersonal and decision-making expertise » Personal attributes - passionate, energetic, committed, dependable About Te Puna ManawaHealthWEST Te Puna ManawaHealthWEST is a Non-Government Organisation (NGO) & Not for Profit Charitable Trust with M?ori provider status committed to providing quality health services to our community for over 25 years.
