Tohu O Uenuku, with regular travel across Auckland He angit?tanga: The opportunity The Arts, Culture and Heritage department works closely with local communities to foster pride and belonging, celebrate diversity, and add heart and colour to local areas by delivering engaging arts and culture activities across Auckland. We're seeking a Production Coordinator - Art installation with practice in the handling and installation of art exhibitions. this function works closely with Connected Community teams across a range of council-owned facilities from Ponsonby to Pukekohe. Key responsibilities include: » Coordinating exhibitions and projects in Galleries around Auckland, including but not limited to planning and art installation » Maintaining expertise of international best practice in museum practices and exhibition and project management » Implementing and maintaining a high production standard, including effective delivery of site management and logistics » Ensuring exhibitions and projects are delivered in a manner that meets legislative and risk management requirements He k?rero m?u: About you You're a highly practiced installer who understands the diverse technical and production requirements of unique art projects! Because of the nature of our work it's important that you are physically fit and pride yourself in having strong planning and time management expertise. You're adept at handling art and museum objects and you're competent using hand tools and small power tools with a good expertise of audio-visual technology. Information technology is also important that you are an excellent communicator with a calm disposition under pressure and are used to working in a health and safety-sensitive environment.
