Offer: Graphic Designer:Job description:Job detailsOrganisation The Learning Connexion Closes 24 Nov 2021 Posted on 17 Nov 2021 Region Wellington Work type Part time employment Work classification Design, Marketing & Media ShareThe Learning Connexion is a tertiary school of Art and Creativity located in the Hutt Valley, Wellington.We are pursuing a talented entry level designer who is interested to work in a creative and flexible environment as part of a small inhouse marketing team. Your work will involve producing graphics work (both for staff and student resources) for posters and banners, prospectus, exhibition and graduation flyers, enrolment forms, graduation certificates, signage, manuals and booklets and digital marketing collateral. You will need to be proficient in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and ideally have practice with Lightroom. You need to be skillful in text layout and typography and know how to set up print-ready files, knowledge all the specifics of taking projects right through to the print stage. practice with website backends is ideal, as well as knowledge of project organisation platforms such as Trello. You will also be a strong and adaptive communicator, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders. You will be able to clarify design briefs, as well as discuss and share design ideas while being flexible in your approach. We expect that your design work will align appropriately with our brand and communicate its message effectively. this function would suit a recent design graduate or someone fairly new to the design workforce. You will enjoy working collaboratively (i.e. be a team player) while at the same time having the initiative to see projects through to completion. You need to be super-organised, efficient and able to meet deadlines. A sense of humour is always valuable! this function is to be worked over approximately 30 hours per week. The hourly rate is $27 and we can offer good flexibility around working arrangements.
