Human Resources Coordinator - Hamilton Waikato Region

We are looking for a permanent HR Coordinator to join our team. This position will provide support to our busy Operations division based in Hamilton Waikato, reporting to the Chief Executive Operations Manager. This is a wh?nau based organisation with an understanding of kaupapa M?ori practices.

This is a culturally driven organisation, with a growing team. This would require the ability to work with a unique, wh?nau first, tikanga based, wellbeing approach organisation. Their organisation was established to support the increased holistic wellbeing of M?ori and Pacific Peoples in Hamilton and the surrounding areas.

As a valued team member, you will actively demonstrate our daily professional practices and conduct, whether face to face, written communications (e.g. reports/emails), or any other method of engagement e.g. video-conferencing. With the main focus of the position is to provide administrative support, manage data in our workforce management system, coordinate recruitment activities, prepare employment documentation and take ownership of our inductions process and record keeping.

To be successful in this position you will:

You would need proven Knowledge, Skills, Experience, Attributes, and Qualifications within the HR coordinator area. You will be a person who has a great attitude, integrity and professional pride.
   » Have a passion for helping to create great workplaces where diversity, engagement and development are valued
   » Have at least 2 years' experience working in an HR Administrator role within a complex multi-site operation
   » Have excellent administration and Microsoft office skills
   » Proven experience working in a fast-paced environment
   » Have the ability to juggle and priorities multiple tasks at once
You must have:

? A high standard of verbal and written communication skills.

? Experience in working with the public, face to face, via phone and e-mail. Experience in handling complaints and difficult situations.

? Skills in working with others in a strengths-based manner.

? Skills to maintain positive working relationships across all services the Our valued team.

Man?kitanga

? Understanding of the general operations of the Our valued team and its services.

? Ability to work independently to complete specific tasks and responsibilities.

? At least two years practical experience in HR and/or administrative work.

Rangatiratanga

? Experience working in a tikanga-based environment.

? A high level of computer literacy and data entry skills.

? Competent to complete day to day tasks using technology such as data inputting, email systems, Microsoft Office Suite to a high level.

? Ability to produce reports using generic IT packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

? Emerging and/or developing tikanga-based experience and skills.
