This is a newly created function which will make a measured impact across the Ministry. My client is large, complex and a key Ministry within the machinery of Government who are looking to recruit for a Senior Advisor Enterprise Risk to join them on the next phase of their exciting growth.The function of Senior Advisor, Enterprise Risk is to provide expert advice and support to stakeholders all over the organisation to enable effective management of risk and help embed effective governance and maximise organisational performance. This includes advice on risk management frameworks, processes and tools to enable organisational results being achieved and that the enterprise view of risk within the Ministry is enhanced and not compromised. The ideal candidate will be currently operating as a Senior Risk professional or someone who is on a path towards Senior . You will have great knowledge and practice across enterprise risk, strong commercial acumen and practice and knowledge of the public sector and the machinery of government. What will you be doing in the function? » Support the Director, Enterprise Risk with development, maintenance and consistent implementation of the Ministries Risk Management System, policy, practices and processes together with working tools and reporting mechanisms. » Prepare and facilitate/deliver risk management training and guidance material as required for use by all personnel at locations all over the Ministry. » Guide Ministry personnel on risk management, advising on appropriate approaches to risk appetite and risk tolerance limits; escalating issues when circumstances warrant such action. » Support the Director Enterprise Risk by providing input into risk profiles and reporting for the Ministry Portfolio Boards. » Support the preparation and monitoring of enterprise risk and performance reporting to the leadership abilities Team and the Risk and Assurance Board. » Ensure the professional quality of all deliverables. » contact and coordinate with the Internal Audit team and external risk assessors as necessary. » Support the prosperous delivery of the Ministry’s projects, and programmes by providing risk management support and advice to programme and project managers within the Ministry. What does the ideal candidate bring to the function? » practiced risk professional with 5+ years of practice across the commercial and public sector. » A sound knowledge of the ISO-31000 standard. » A great attitude and capability to relate to and work across a range of stakeholders. » practice with risk focussed within 0CT is desirable.
