We are pursuing a talented Event Coordinator to join our high performing team. The opportunity: Auckland Live and Auckland Conventions, Venues and Events is custodian of some of the most iconic venues in T?maki Makaurau Auckland including the Aotea Centre, The Civic, Auckland Town Hall, Bruce Mason Centre, Queens Wharf and Aotea Square. Viaduct Events Centre (VEC) is soon joining this amazing line-up of venues! Reporting to the Team Leader - Event Delivery, one of the key purposes of this function is to plan and coordinate the delivery of events programmed and presented by Auckland Conventions, Venues and Events, and Auckland Live, with a focus on providing exceptional service to our clients. As an Event Coordinator you will build and coordinate logistics, maintain relationships with a range of national and international clients, internal staff, and external suppliers to bring their event to life, at one or more of our iconic venues. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to be a part of the team that plans and delivers approximately 1,000 events every year. Key responsibilities include: » Planning, delivering, and monitoring event logistics within strict timelines and budgets, with a focus on providing exceptional customer practices. » Monitoring and tracking event financials including raising quotes and invoices. » Liaising with clients and the Tataki Auckland endlesshealth and safety team to ensure health a safety documentation is received and approved within the required timeframes. » Providing reporting to management and contributing to team and business planning as required. » Participating in significant projects with other teams or departments on a project basis to deliver high quality innovative activities as appropriate. He k?rero m?u: About you To be prosperous in this function, you will have a minimum of two years' practice in an event management /coordination function or similar. practice with conferences, meetings, or gala dinners is imperative and practice with performing arts will be an advantage. You will bring your strong communication and relationship building expertise, attention to detail, and have a passion for the events and entertainment industry, You will be deadline driven, with the capability to juggle multiple priorities while still retaining a high level of accuracy.
