Principal HR Business Partner

Exciting permanent opportunity for an practiced Principal HR Business Partner to join our HR – People and Capcapability Business Group located in Wellington.
As Principal Business Partner HR you will be part of a supportive team providing high level, trusted, expert advice and support to managers within assigned business groups. You will actively contribute to direction setting and achievement of business strategy. This is a pivotal and influential function and an opportunity to make a significant contribution to building your business group's capcapability.
Key responsibilities include:
   » Leading substantial HR related initiatives and developing people strategies
   » Providing significant thought leadership abilities in the areas of business strategy, workforce strategy, people capcapability (including leadership abilities) and organisational change
   » Communicating HR strategy and position on issues with credibility and influence
   » Being the key link between the HR functions and the business to support the development and implementation of the Ministry's and service line organisational strategies and business plans
What you will bring:
   » High level expertise of human resource practice and significant employment legislation
   » Proven capability in the management of HR issues and provision of HR advice and guidance to senior managers
   » practice in building strategic relationships and being a credible/trusted advisor at a senior leadership abilities level
   » Proven practice in developing, implementing and articulating strategic HR and business plans
   » The capability to articulate the contribution of people plans to strategic business objectives and demonstrate how HR activity can add value to the business performance and results
   » Sound practice in coaching at senior line manager level
