Over the past 10 years, Q has operated primarily as a curated venue for hire, and we've been fortunate to work with a loyal group of major hirers who return year after year.However, many of Q's major and regular hirers are changing the way they work, whether through shorter seasons or working in different spaces to suit the needs of their productions. As the performing arts ecosystem around us develops, Q as an independent venue, needs to evolve with these changes. As part of this advancement, we are exploring a more proactive approach to programming for our purpose-built venues. This newly createdfunction is designed to achieve two priorities: » Handling an allocation of incoming hirers at Q, by managing key relationships and events, from booking through to settlement » Developing new programme initiatives that support the delivery Q's strategic plan and budget targets e.g., partnership and/or co-presentation seasons Q is currently going through the process of developing a new strategic plan and we have been prosperous in receiving a Creative New Zealand Arts Grant to support this significant process. TheProducer | Kaihaut?function has an opportunity to take part in the generation of this new strategy for Q and to support the development of a new programme strategy for Q's future.
