Job Offer: Growth Team Recruiter:Esther MaximJob description:Job DescriptionThe PSA has a permanent, full time recruiter vacancy, preferably located in Auckland but Hamilton could be consideredThe PSA, Te P?kenga Here Tikanga Mahi, is the largest union in New Zealand and is an innovative and dynamic organisation employing about 200 staff. We have over 80,000 members working in central and local government, health and community services. The focus of the PSA is to advance the rights and working conditions of our members. The Growth Team recruiter's function is mainly to talk with potential members about the PSA and encourage them to join the union. We need an enthusiastic person with a proven track record in a sales environment and/or with proven promotional expertise, who also understands and is committed to trade unionism. An capability to promote the value of unionism and to customise that to create good recruitment results is important. Being adaptable, a quick thinker and well informed are also necessary attributes. The main tasks are to recruit over the phone, and to recruit at worksites where the PSA has coverage. Group presentations, and helping site delegates to recruit, are additional features. The prosperous candidate will be a team player and will be able to work well with our industrial staff (organisers) in supporting recruitment programmes in organisations across all our sectors. candidates need to portray a positive representation of the PSA and our values at all times. candidates also need to negotiate access to worksites and will need to work with local PSA delegates in approaching potential members at their place of work. The income range for this position is$67,036 to $83,751. New employees enter the range on a starting rate located upon previous significant practice and commensurate with internal relativities. Progression to the top of the scale is by regular and automatic service steps. Full training is provided. Some travel is required.
