The Society is managed as a not for profit entity with full charitable status. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of a small Front of House team who deliver excellent customer service and who put the visitor at the heart of everything they do. You will be responsible for the buying, product development, e-commerce, and stock management for a retail store which align with the strategic objectives of Howick Historical Village. Mo te mahi, about the function: » Management of all day-to-day operations including rostering, covering staff if they are sick or on leave and approving timesheets. » Buying and product development, to ensure high margins and stock that is significant to Howick Historical Village. » Stock management including regular stock takes. » Accurate receipting of stock. » Implementing creative solutions for the visitor practice. » Responsible for superviseing all ticket, workshop, and annual pass sales online. » Responsible for building an e-commerce store in Shopify, then maintaining this store through uploading product, building collections, photographing product and writing product descriptions. He k?rero m?u, about you: » At least two years in a Retail or customer service environment. » practice with POS systems. » prosperous practice of managing or supervising teams of sales staff. » A passion for providing excellent customer service. » practice with an online e-commerce platform desirable. » Proficient with Microsoft office suite especially teams, word, excel and outlook. » Negotiation expertise and the capability to develop strong working relationships internally and externally. » Commercial and business consciousness. » Good communication expertise - both written and verbal. » A keen eye for detail. » Conflict resolution expertise. » Proactive attitude. » capability to pitch in and help where necessary in a small team. » Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
