The Company and Environment

This company has been established since the 1980s, and is recognised as a leader in its industry. One of the key factors of its success, has been its focus on technology.
The environment contains approximately 150 servers spread over multiple data-centres in Australia and New Zealand, with a contemporary approach to their infrastructure.
Scenario:
The primary function of this function is to maintain, monitor, secure, operate and support the infrastructure environment used for their business and industry applications and services.
Job responsibilities:
Included in the responsibilities is the development, configuration, maintenance, support, and optimisation of the network hardware, software, and communication links, both existing and planned, plus all other electronic systems and infrastructure. Being so reliant on technology, the importance of top level security and monitoring, plus disaster recovery, is paramount.
Criteria:
The emphasis of this function will be your technical capability but equally important will be your capability to communicate with key stakeholders both verbally and written, plus being able to work in a highly developed team environment and be able to ?connect? with internal stakeholders and external service providers as to what the systems and infrastructure can deliver.
Technical and ?Soft? expertise
We're after someone who is highly practiced in Information technology operations within a complex organisation.
Essential expertise are:
   » Microsoft Office 365,
   » Active Directory (LDAP, SSO, AD Connect, MFA etc.),
   » Azure (IaaS, PaaS, Update Management),
   » VMware,
   » Microsoft Windows Server & Desktop,
   » expertise of internet services
Ideal would also be Infrastructure as Code (Bicep or Terraform), Azure DevOps, Microsoft SQL, NIST Framework, Zero Trust Principals and Essential 8 Majority Model, ITSM frameworks, Networking (DHCP, DNS, Wifi, Aruba (ClearPass, Edge Connect), Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki), Monitoring (Dynatrace, PRTG, Aruba UXI).
Because of the critical nature of the function, you will need to have a flexible approach to work as there is likely to be extended hours and potentially weekend work.
You will need to have the capcapability to influence and drive people, process and change in a dynamic and interesting environment.
