As a key member of the team, you will play a strategic role in ensuring the health and safety of over 100+ staff members within the industrial/manufacturing space. This is a full-time, senior-level position offering a competitive salary range of $35 - $45 per hour. The role requires an experienced individual with a strong understanding of warehouse, construction, and logistics safety practices. The position entails working 2 - 4 days per week, including some weekends. With working hours from 6am to 4pm, flexibility and adaptability are crucial as the weekly rota will change. Detailed Job Description: As the Senior Health & Safety Officer, your responsibilities will include: » Conducting audits, incident management, and reporting to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. » Performing regular health and safety checks to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures. » Managing personal protective equipment (PPE) inventory, ensuring availability and proper usage. » Overseeing general on-site management, including safety training, emergency preparedness, and coordination with relevant stakeholders. » Leading and promoting a strong safety culture, providing guidance and support to staff members. » Developing and implementing policies and procedures to enhance health and safety standards. » Staying updated with industry best practices and regulations, advising management on necessary actions. » Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address safety concerns and implement improvement initiatives. Candidate's Profile: To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills: » Extensive experience working in health and safety roles within warehousing, construction, and/or logistics. » In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices. » Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders. » Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to analyze data and reports. » Dedication to providing excellent service and maintaining a safe working environment. » Proven experience in leading and managing health and safety initiatives. » Relevant certifications in health and safety management are highly desirable.
