In addition, there are a range of specialist services such as Early Psychosis Intervention, Psychiatric Liaison and Maternal Mental Health. We also have dedicated Maori and Pacific Island Community Mental Health Services. WDHB is also responsible for the Regional Forensic Psychiatry Services and the Regional Community Alcohol and Drugs Service.Adult Mental Health Services at WDHB are comprised of two inpatient units, three community hubs and a consultation-liaison service to our general hospital. There are opportunities to be involved in service development, service planning, and quality improvement initiatives. Teaching and supervision of junior doctors/students, involvement in clinical leadership abilities and leading multidisciplinary team are core functions for our consultants. We are seeking for a Consultant Psychiatrist who is committed to providing a high standard of care and clinical leadership abilities, has a strong consumer focus, supports the organisational values and enjoys the challenge of providing services to a diverse community. located at the Waimarino Building in Henderson, we have strong peer review groups, excellent collegial support with a good mix of practiced and junior consultants.
