About the Employer :
A well-established and dominant player within the Interiors/Flooring industry - seeking a proactive, professional and highly capable sales representative to join their sales team. This company has a ‘work hard, play hard’ culture, has had admirable growth year on year since launching in NZ and offers plenty of future development opportunities working alongside some of the best in the biz.
About the function:
This is a great hybrid function that will see you covering commercial clients with a small element of managing retail clients across the region, as well as representing the product to interior designers, architects and specifiers. Ideally you’ll have come from a commercially focussed function having dealt with interior/building specifiers as this is the most key part of the function.
this function will see you working in Wellington and covering a region that includes Palmerston North, Wanganui and further South – a lovely area to focus on as you build and nurture longstanding and new prospective clients, from interior designers to architects and builders. Not only will you be managing a handful of longstanding, lucrative clients, you’ll also have the opportunity to leverage your connections in the industry to build and develop new business opportunities. Regardless of who you’re dealing with, you’ll understand the importance of tact, speed and authenticity when Information technology comes to your sales approach.
this function will see you out on the road a lot, meeting with clients and doing what you do best – representing the brand face to face. You’ll be working across both commercial and retail clients.
The function will include:
• Promoting a range of products to commercial specifiers & end users Client and customer visits; tailoring products and services to customers’ needs Maintain and building new relationships, maximising growth opportunities Providing recommendations, and offering sound advice on product
• Selling and representing the benefits of each product and their USP’s General sales tasks such as reporting, quoting etc.
About you:
• Proven track record in a sales function; ideally within bathroom ware, kitchens, interiors
• Articulate communicator who has a natural rapport with a range of people; authentic and relatable
• practice + passion for design and expertise within the building/interiors industry
• Able to work autonomously with excellent time management expertise
• A strong team player
• An capability to think and look at the bigger picture
• Excellently presented in both appearance and demeanour
