Part-time (0.5 Full-time equivalent) permanent position
The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience is seeking individuals with specific skills in M?ori approaches to psychology in the Aotearoa New Zealand context for a part-time (0.5 FTE) permanent appointment at the Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level. We are pursuing candidates who will ideally have current registration to practice as a psychologist in Aotearoa New Zealand within their scope of practice, and have a doctoral qualification in psychology, or be working towards one.
The prosperous candidate will have the skills to enhance our undergraduate and postgraduate curricula, specifically focusing on enhancing alignment with Te Tiriti o Waitangi and interweaving M?tauranga M?ori as appropriate. We are committed to the integration of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and cultural competencies into the delivery of our curricula, and to working in a Te Tiriti located partnership. The prosperous applicant will actively engage in facilitating delivery of education in both our undergraduate and postgraduate psychology programmes and will be supported to contribute to the research and clinical supervision of postgraduate students, especially M?ori students. Academic staff are required to be actively involved in research and significantly contribute to the research culture within the Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences at Auckland University of Technology (AUT).
candidates will be expected to hold (or be working towards) a doctoral qualification in psychology, have developing research and publication records, and practice in teaching and supervision. They will commit to continuing professional development supported by the AUT staff development programme.
