About the function: Over the last five years in the Improvement Systems and Technology Group we have been evolving our delivery approach to be agile at scale. We have an opportunity for three Technical Product Managers to join our dynamic team across the following areas: One 12-month fixed term or secondment opportunity in the Customer practice product group located in Auckland or Wellington. This group supports our staff's practice with our technologies, including our Service Desk, Information technology Operations and Security Centre and regional on-site support. Two permanent positions initially assigned to the Delivery Support and Assurance product group located in Wellington and the Tools product group located in Auckland or Wellington. The Delivery Support and Assurance group supports IST in its compliance and governance functions, including risk and asset management and our PMO. The Tools group provides IST and our teams with the tools necessary to support our work delivery, including automation, work management and assurance tools. The product group that a Technical Product Manager is assigned to may change as operational needs change. Technical Product Managers lead the management of a product or service through its lifecycle and are accountable for the product vision, operations, and currency. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of New Zealand's largest Information technology groups and be the motivational force that empowers our peoples to meet delivery goals and increase product capabilities and services to our clients. As a Technical Product Manager, you will » Work with Heads of Technology and the Enterprise Architects to develop the Technical Product Vision, Strategy and Roadmaps. » Work with Epic Owners to develop business cases for Epics that affect the product. » Ensure asset management plans are in place and technology assets are maintained. » Continuously monitor and adjust road mapping, reprioritising to manage the flow of work. » Responsible for delivery to the significant strategies and roadmaps for their products/services. » Manage the programme technical backlog for the product(s). » Continuously develop and communicate the Vision to the development teams and define the features of the system. You will have » leadership abilities practice as a product leader or a people leader. » practice working in a large complex environment or government organisation. » practice in leading or influencing teams, communicating vision and direction. » broad technical and operational expertise.
