With social housing under increasing pressure and public scrutiny, this is a unique opportunity for a person who has a passion for quality and systems to play a key function in ensuring we have the right foundations in place to ensure we deliver great services and housing. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will be a key member of our dynamic national leadership abilities team. If you're a solutions-focused person who likes to get stuck in and create solid foundations and strong infrastructure for our services - we want to hear from you.
This position is Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.00pm located in either our Hamilton East office or the south Auckland office.

The function/TeTuunga
We're after an operations and compliance manager who can enable LinkPeople to efficiently meet its contractual and regulatory obligations in the provision of social housing and support services.
The operations and compliance manager will also ensure that LinkPeople has fit-for-purpose and nationally consistent systems, policies and processes in place to deliver safe, effective and quality services. The function will stay up to date with changing requirements and provide leadership abilities for LinkPeople within the community housing sector.
Play a key function in contributing a national systems perspective to the LinkPeople senior leadership abilities team to support close connection and consistency between national and regional direction. You will also provide inspirational leadership abilities and management to members of the national office team who report to the function.

We're looking for an exceptional leader and systems thinker who can understand, analyse, identify gaps in systems and processes and lead in creating new solutions. You will have the capability to look at the big picture, while ensuring that no detail is overlooked - and have a drive for continuous quality improvement.
Implementing and leading prosperous projects or initiatives is something you're familiar with, while providing structured management for team members. Developing and sustaining positive relationships is second nature to you.
You will have practice in management functions, with a focus in the operational, strategic and systems domains. knowledge of the community and social services sector is preferred, while our ideal candidate will have practice within the housing sector as much of the function relates to our function as a community housing provider.
You'll also be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite and possess a full New Zealand driver's licence.
You'll also have:
   » significant tertiary level qualification
   » Excellent written and verbal communication expertise
   » Operational leadership abilities and strategic level practice, with strong preference for the housing sector.
   » knowledge of business operations and proven practice in developing policies and processes.
   » Strong capability to manage, supervise and deliver projects, programmes and results.
   » Knowledge of and commitment to Treaty of Waitangi principles
