   » Provide high quality Programme Management across the Regulatory Framework Reform “Trifecta” programme

The National Emergency Management Agency / Te R?kau Whakamarumaru
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) provides national leadership abilities to New Zealand’s distributed emergency management system. NEMA’s primary focus is on the performance and capcapability of the emergency management system as a whole, across all hazards and all risks and the 4 Rs of risk reduction, readiness, response and recovery. function Purpose
The Policy Unit / W?hanga Kaupapahere is responsible for providing emergency management related policy advice to government, the CDEM sector, and the wider emergency management and national security systems
The Programme Manager, Trifecta will provide high quality Programme Management, on behalf of the Business Owner, across the Regulatory Framework Reform “Trifecta” programme and lead the integration of cross-cutting workstreams to deliver into these projects with a strong focus on communications and engagement, including with iwi/M?ori.
expertise and practice
   » Proven practice managing large scale, complex projects or programmes, ideally in a public service policy and/or legislative context.
   » Proven stakeholder engagement capabilities, ideally with an capability to engage authentically with M?
   » practice in supporting senior managers and providing support to projects leads and teams.
   » Demonstrated strong writing and other presentation expertise, including programme scheduling and risk tracking.
   » expertise of the Machinery of Government is desirable.
Personal Attributes:
   » availability to grow M?ori capcapability and cultural confidence.
   » Flexibility of approach/thinking, able to adapt in constantly changing circumstances.
   » Comfortable facilitating a collaborative work environment, with a constant eye on meeting the objectives and goals of the project/programmes.
   » An capability to deliver high quality work under pressure.
   » The discretion and tact to handle confidential and private information.
   » High level of judgement with the capability to make effective decisions in complex situations.
   » Able to work autonomously and ensure work gets completed effectively and on time.
