MusicHelps are looking for someone special; a driven Fund Manager to be one half of the MusicHelps/team. This is a pivotal function for the charity, responsible for the strategy, leadership abilities and supercharging our fundraising efforts. Importantly you will share MusicHelps core values of compassion and community and share a strong commitment to working towards the organisation's
Established in 2012 to support those using the power of music to help Kiwi's in need - MusicHelps has developed and supported projects across Aotearoa, supporting those using music to help New Zealander's suffering from health conditions, disabilities, dementia, and people that are at-risk and vulnerable. We also provide counselling, wellbeing and emergency financial support to kiwi music workers experiencing illness, distress, and hardship.
We are searching for an practiced fundraising manager with excellent leadership abilities expertise and networking abilities who will report directly to a board of trustees. The Fund Manager is responsible for building good relationships with prospective supporters, donors, and clients across multiple sectors, communicating with the broader public and internal stakeholders and drawing up strategies to grow our charitable fund.
You should be well organised, proactive, and can inspire those around you. This is a (near) full-time fixed term contract function.
The MusicHelps Fund Manager is someone who:
   » is a natural community builder; can gather people around an idea, spot opportunities, and make them a reality?
   » is highly organised with excellent time management
   » has strong written language expertise; excellent communicator - can communicate ideas effectively
   » is passionate about introducing the charity to the wider philanthropic community and work towards ambitious targets
   » is committed to honouring Te Tiriti and Te Ao Maori?
You'll have an appreciation of music or the arts, and a background in or at least five years' practice working with people, networks, and relationships to achieve a common goal. You may be from a fundraising, sales or marketing/communications background, and you understand how to engage people in a cause, collectively.
