Job Opportunity: Kaiwhakarite – Treaty Partnerships:People and CapabilityJob description:Job DescriptionOur Tai-ranga-whenua Team is on the hunt for a Kaiwhakarite to join their team to lead the implementation of co-governance and co-management arrangements established through Treaty settlement agreements.Waikato Regional Council aims to work together with communities, industry and other groups to build a Waikato region that has a healthy environment, a strong economy and vibrant communities. Our activities help look after our regions water, soil, air, geothermal areas and coasts so that we can all enjoy these resources for generations to come. Tai-ranga-whenua plays a key function in supporting and providing guidance to our staff across the organisation with Iwi Engagement, Te Ao Maori, Treaty of Waitangi and relationship building. Your practice in M?ori engagement, knowledge of tikanga M?ori, and capability to operate within M?ori and non-M?ori political environments will be sought after. Applications close 18th November 2021.
