Education Infrastructure Service (EIS), a part of the Ministry of Education, manages the Crown’s second largest property portfolio of around 2,100 schools with a book value of $19.6 billion, the largest payroll in the country, and transportation of over 100,000 students to and from school each day.

About the function
You will be responsible for managing processes and systems connected with the Ministry’s Design assurance and Design Review Panel (DRP) to keep these design review programmes operational and efficient.
Working with external Panel Consultants, Design teams, Delivery Managers and Property Advisors you will ensure that the design review processes meet delivery targets.
Your key accountabilities will include the following:
   » Managing a team of external Panel consultants for project review services
   » Selecting and assigning Panel consultants for individual projects
   » Pre-screening of incoming Design Packages
   » Managing and maintaining registers and databases
   » Reporting on progress, cost control and technical compliance.
About you
You will have previous practice providing design/coordination support in a project or programme environment, with an knowledge of the construction and design processes connected.
You will also offer the following:
   » A self-directed and proactive approach with excellent time management and the capability to juggle several tasks and deadlines at once
   » Good written and oral communications expertise
   » The capability to make sound decisions within short timeframes and effectively be adaptable and use initiative
