Education Advisers take a lead function in the licensing of ECE services and in leading projects that help to increase participation rates across the Ministry’s Hawke’s Bay/Tair?whiti Region. This is a full-time, permanent function located in the Ministry’s regional office in Napier. Information technology will involve travel across the Hawke’s Bay/Tair?whiti region. We are seeking for a person with practice and knowledge which may include senior management practice in an early learning context, administration of early childhood services and curriculum delivery. Among the expertise and knowledge you will bring are: » A confidence and practice in working across a diverse range of early learning services and contexts » practice and success in dealing with complex relationships, including influencing and negotiation expertise » practice in assessing information to make objective judgments against criteria and recommending courses of action » practice in contract/project planning and management » The capability to analyse complex issues to produce clear and succinct written work » A demonstrated capability to work within targeted communities to support Ministry priorities of enhancing educational results for M?ori, and Pasifika children and children from low socio-economic backgrounds » A tertiary qualification in early childhood education or other significant discipline » candidates must also have a full driver’s licence as travel will be required The prosperous candidate will work in both licensing and participation work streams.
