We are excited to have a position for a front of house superstar to join our awesome team, we proudly offer a great working environment and some of the best cuisine on the Hibiscus Coast! We are a small, boutique restaurant with around 30 seats inside and a further 20 seats outside, our menu changes often and the ingredients and produce we use always aim to be; seasonal, local and from sustainable sources. We have a great selection of drinks and a passion for all things wine, so previous wine expertise would be a bonus. The function will be a mix of working with other team members as well as the owners and you must be also able to work alone and think on your feet. tasks will include, as well as serving the customers, opening up the restaurant, putting away FOH deliveries, organising stock, general cleaning, taking bookings, creating floor plans, replying to emails, having a good rapport with the chefs and generally looking after the restaurant and ensuring the high standard is held. Here's what we expect of the prosperous applicant: » Minimum two years of front of house manager/management practice in hospitality. » Holds high standards and attention to detail » You are a natural with people, enjoy building customer relationships, with the capability to smoothly mediate any problem areas. » You are organised, able to multi task and good time keeping expertise. » You will have a good expertise and a passion for food and wine. » Great conversational English and good at communicating to chefs, owners other team members. » Be eligible to work in New Zealand.
