The start and end dates are flexible but we require someone to work at a minimum from July to mid-September (calving period). We farm 700 crossbred cows on a well-developed 200ha unit. The property offers excellent infrastructure and equipment including a new 50 bale rotary shed with automation, new feedpad with floodwash system, and new effluent pond. Farm objectives is to run an efficient pasture-located system with strategic use of maize and imported feed when required. We aim to provide a supportive working environment with some mentoring, willing to help a keen individual understand and develop modern dairying practices if interested. tasks may include but are not limited to Milking AM and PM; Moving stock; Calf rearing; assisting with animal health as required; Weed spraying; Environmental tree planting, Permanent fencing; Cleaning plant and equipment; Tractor work (depending on capcapability) Accommodation is a one-bedroom home. The home is modern, warm, and well maintained. Also, power is paid for by the employer.
