Farm adjunct/calf Rarer:Job description:Farm adjunct/calf RarerPayment: Accommodation & Paid ($48,000)Job location: Culverden Region: Christchurch & Canterbury practice: No practice Necessary Listing Added: 19/04/2022 Hey, We are searching for two people to join our team on a 1200 cow dairy farm 20 minutes north Culverden and 20 minutes south of the alpine village of Hanmer Springs. The farm is 410ha and the cows are milked through a 60 bail fully automated rotary shed. tasks include, but not limited to; -milking -setting fences -general farm maintenance -ensuring the shed and the farm is kept to a high standard A can do willing to lgain attitude is a must Accommodation is provided on farm with 4 bedroom quarters. Bedroom is equipped with an en-suite and a communal living and kitchen area We are Contract milkers heading into our second season and We are seeking for two people to join us on our adventure on a new farm. Currently we have a team of 4 and are offering the opportunity for you to join us on our 410 ha farm that is fully irrigated via five center pivots and fixed grid posts in the corners. Calves are reared to 100 kilos with minimal bobby calves. 250 heifer calves used as replacements. The farm is only 15 km to Culverden which has a preschool, primary school, and secondary school which offers numerous kids sports like gymnastics, netball, hockey, and rugby. For adults, Hurunui rugby team practices right in town along with Squash courts, netball teams, and a hockey team. Culverden also has local tea rooms, Red Post Café, bakery, pub, and Four Square. Only 20 minutes North of us is the wonderful alpine resort town, Hanmer Springs. Hanmer Springs offers endless entertainment via the hot pools, 15+ restaurants of many different cuisines, live music on weekends, mountain bike and walking forest, Music and Arts group, and a health centre. 15 minutes South is Rotherham town which has a wonderful little pub with tasty food and good service and has our nearest health centre. 50 minutes South is Amberly which has many restaurants, local shops, and a Countdown.
