The Roving Senior Private Secretary will work closely with the Ministerial Resourcing team as well as with the Ministerial Offices to ensure the office runs smoothly. Responsibilities will include managing the Minister’s office staff, diary, travel, invitations and house representation. The coordination of these tasks is imperative to the efficient and effective use of the Minister’s time.
this function has a significant amount of responsibility and thus management expertise, integrity, judgement and leadership abilities expertise are essential. The Roving Senior Private Secretary regularly interacts with people and officials; therefore, the capability to communicate and build relationships is highly valued.
The Parliamentary complex can offer a compensateing and challenging practice like no other, you will be given the opportunity to develop your existing expertise and interact with those who lead New Zealand. This is a challenging and compensateing opportunity giving you an insight into the workings of the Executive Government.
