Civil Plant OperatorsLocation All TasmanTasman Job type Full Time Salary to Category Construction & Architecture > Other » Work Life Balance - Monday to Friday work hours » Competitive Pay Rate and stable hours » Internal/external training and career development Civil Plant Operators What we can offer » Work life balance » Monday to Friday work hours » Fixed Term, Permanent or Temporary options available » Internal/external training and career development » 40 to 50 hours per week Your role will include » Excavate trenches, laying underground cabling and associated equipment. » Operating plant such as excavators, trucks, transporters, trench compactors as well as class 2 and if licensed class 4 and 5 vehicles. » Undertake manual labour, which will include digging, hauling cable, carrying and lifting. » Work as a team, ensuring the safety of yourself, work colleagues and the general public. » Operate and transport heavy equipment » Dig around key services » Handle additional machinery » Assist the team with additional work in and out of the machine when required » Inspect job site for any safety concerns or hazards » Keep immediate site manager informed of any issues or problems » Ensure the safety of the public The Requirements: » Licences - W,T,R with a Class 2 and 4 being advantageous » A minimum of 2 years' experience either on a roller, dozer, digger, or Class 2 or 4 truck » Your own vehicle to get to and from work daily » You must be physically fit and capable - and not afraid of hard work » Have a proactive approach towards Health and Safety » Be prepared to work as a team player » Organizational skills and the ability to priorities under pressure » Ability to work in a small team » Switched on » Attention to detail To be eligible you must be able to pass our pre-employment screening which includes: » Ministry of Justice Checks » Drug Screening including synthetic testing » Reference Checking (2 - 3 working references) If your wanting to work for a nationally recognized company, then apply on line with an up to date CV today.
