About our group and team SE&S – Sector Enablement and Support Our teams around the country work closely with the Early Childhood and Schooling sectors, providers, and communities to provide support, skills and resources to help children and young people reach their full potential. We also directly provide Learning Support for around 40,000 children and young people. About this function Key priorities of this function will include as follows: » Working with individual kura/schools and Communities of Learning – K?hui Ako to significantly improve their student achievement » Using detailed analysis of schools/kura performance and student achievement to influence change and maximise education results for students » Brokering support for schools/kura where potential is identified – this may include building capcapability and strengt hening governance and management, regulatory compliance, curriculum, monitoring and assessment, student and wh?nau, family and community engagement About you: » To be prosperous in this function you will need to be an exceptional communicator with proven skills in building and managing strong, effective relationships » Cultural competence, capcapability, credibility and knowledge the relevance of identity; language and culture for M?ori, Pasifika, English Language Learners and students with additional learning needs » prosperous practice of working with school leaders, Boards of Trustees or Communities of Learning – K?hui Ako to strengthen school practice and raise student achievement » A significant tertiary qualification or equivalent » The capability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Tangata Whenuatanga Are you ready to make a difference?
