Windows System Engineer
Over the last five years in the Improvement Systems and Technology Group we have been evolving our delivery approach to be agile at scale.
We are seeking for a Windows System Engineer to provide desktop support to the Infrastructure and Services capcapability.
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of New Zealand's largest Information technology groups and be the motivational force that empowers our peoples to meet delivery goals and increase product capabilities and services to our clients.
About the function:
Our Windows System Engineers provide Windows Infrastructure operational support and project work within a multi-platform integrated environment.
The Windows system Engineer is responsible for a wide variety of tasks with respect to computer hardware, software, network, and user accounts. They are responsible for all aspects of administration of Windows located desktops, applications, connected technologies, and project deliverables.
An overview of your Job responsibilities:
   » Provide Level 3 Operational support for the ?Windows and Integration' infrastructure.
   » Proactively monitor service level performance of hardware and report any performance issues.
   » Install Windows operating systems, system, and hardware configuration, troubleshooting system and hardware issues.
   » Manage and monitor security of network and file systems using standard security tools including firewalls and file integrity checkers.
   » Evaluate vendor supplied patches and upgrades.
   » Provide high quality technical input and advice to team members and other colleagues.
Your expertise and practice:
   » MCSA or equivalent certification.
   » practice with supporting Microsoft Azure AD, Office365, Intune and Advance Threat Protection at operational level.
   » practice supporting Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems and Windows-located applications in an enterprise mission critical environment.
   » Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Active Directory and Group Policies.
   » Knowledge of x86 hardware platforms, support, and connected peripherals. Microsoft patch deployment practice using WSUS or SCCM.
   » Technical knowledge of Proxy and Networking Technologies.
   » practice using software deployment framework such as SCCM or Altiris.
   » Working knowledge of Application Packaging and PowerShell scripting.
   » Good knowledge of Change Management process.
   » practice working in a collaborative manner with other team members to resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.

income range: $76,424.00 – $93,408.00
