Job Opportunity: Senior Automation Engineer:MinEducationJob description:Job DescriptionAre you a highly effective Senior Automation Engineer who has a solid system engineering background? We are seeking for an Automation Engineer to help build and grow our automation suites within the Ministry of Education, while growing and supporting our current Test Analysts and Senior Test Analysts in automation testing.About the function This Senior Automation Engineer will build and enhance our current Automation suite which majority are in Tricentis Tosca automation tool. Having practice in Tosca is required but also if you have strengths in other automation tools that would be an advantage. The Senior Automation Engineer is responsible for ensuring quality and consistency of the automation assets as we move to more CI/CD across the Ministry’s many applications and services. We are growing the expertiseet with the test practice. this function will help mentor and coach the more junior automation testers to help to grow a centre of excellence across automation testing The prosperous candidate will bring knowledge, expertise, and practice in the following areas: Key Job responsibilities: » Thorough knowledge of SDLC Lifecycle » Active contributor in a cross functional Agile team, working alongside Product Owner, Developers, BA’s, Release team and Testers to deliver quality software » Share your knowledge, assist others in analysis, testing and quality practices » Develop and document Automation testing plans » knowledge project requirements and constructing automation scripted test cases in Tosca or Ready API » contact with technical staff to gain test environment access and verify software versions deployed to be tested » Test execution of automated test scripts. Docume nt (via a tool such as Azure DevOps, Jira) software defects with a correct level of detail to be understood with steps to repeat / retest Key Requirements: » A recognized tertiary qualification in Computer Science or a related discipline » Certification in testing » At least five years’ practice in automation testing » Development of automation frameworks and scripting Motivation to make a difference is important for the success in this function. You’ll also need commitment and the capability to innovate and drive continuous improvements across the Automation Practice.
