The communications team is critical to the Ministry. We lead communications and engagement around the biggest changes toNew Zealand education in decades. We lead all engagement with the media, and manage all the Ministry’s internal and external communications channels, events, publications, branding and communications design. About this function The Project agent, Events and Stakeholder Engagement supports the Principal Advisor Events and Stakeholder Management to deliver excellent services and internal and external events across the Ministry and to proactively manage stakeholder relationships. The Ministry places a high priority on its relationships across the sector. this function helps to ensure the reputation of the Ministry is enhanced with key stakeholders by delivering professionally run and appropriately focused events, both physical and online. Key accountabilities of the position include the following: » Providing high quality project coordination and administration across a range of events and projects » Working across the Ministry and developing networks within the organisation and sector to support prosperous delivery of events » Assisting in the development and implementation of project plans, tools, and processes to ensure the smooth running of events and projects and managing stakeholder communications » Facilitating delivery of non-physical events through various channels, including webinars, livestreams, and other digital platforms About you We are seeking for a Project agent, ideally with some practice in delivering events and managing stakeholders in large organisations and on a national level. You will have practice in and the capability to develop strong working relationships with Maori, Pacific peoples, and people from diverse backgrounds. You will be proficient in the Microsoft suite. You will show initiative and be able to problem-solve and prioritise. You will be a clear communicator, be a team player, honest, resilient, and self-aware. Are you ready to make a difference?
