Te Taura Whiri i te Reo M?ori
Revitalisation of te reo M?ori is at the heart of what we do here at Te Taura Whiri i te Reo M?ori. Our mission is to give effect to the status of te reo M?ori as an official language, to promote te reo M?ori as an ordinary means of communication and as a living language, and to lead the coordination of the implementation of Te Maihi Karauna. (Crown M?ori Language Strategy).
We aim to create an environment where the Public Sector, private sector and wider community organisations are enabled to help revitalise te reo M?ori. We want all New Zealanders to value the M?ori language as part of who we are, what makes us a nation and is a living language for everyone to enjoy and celebrate - everywhere, every way, everyone and every day.
We are seeking for people with the strategic drive and passion for te reo M?ori to come join us in leading the coordination of implementing Te Maihi Karauna.

If you are a PA/Secretary with practice supporting the functions of a Board or Governance body, and wanting to be involved in the revitalisation of te reo M?ori then read on.
Assisting the Lead Advisor of the Maihi Karauna Secretariat this position provides coordination and support for forum of public service senior leader's in order to assist them meet their goals set out in the Maihi Karauna Implementation Plan. This means you will coordinate sectretariat activities, and provide administrative support, but more than that you will be one step ahead, and proactively ensure that solutions are created before problems even exist.
Your relationship management will be your key strength, and you will confident influencing and engaging with all levels of the organisation.
Ideally you will already have a proficiency in and knowledge of tikanga M?ori and te reo M?ori. If you are just a starter on that journey, and you will have a availability to learn, we would still welcome your application.
