About the function The Labour Market Intelligence (LMI) Function in the System Performance Unit is seeking a graduate analyst, analyst and senior analyst to join the team on a permanent basis. The LMI Function was newly established in late 2020 to support MSD's provision of effective employment services, connecting more New Zealanders to the workforce, is a core way MSD supports this outcome. The creation of the LMI Function recognises the importance of the labour market in the wellbeing of many of our clients. The function of the LMI Function is to analyse the wealth of available labour market information and share Information technology with decision makers practical insights. You will bring: » An interest in labour markets, both how they work in general and how they might serve MSD's clients. » practice working with diverse data types to support organisational, policy or delivery functions. » A desire to work as part of a close-knit team, and with people across MSD and other agencies. To be prosperous in the function you will need: » Demonstrated knowledge and some practice in delivering in projects aimed at improving the social or economic results of New Zealanders. » practice analysing quantitative data using Microsoft Excel, quantitative data, and applying insights into policy or delivery design (capability to code is a bonus). » Proven capability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. » An knowledge of how a government agency functions, understands key government processes and current Government priorities. » Demonstrated general problem identification and solution expertise and capability to think through viable solutions. » Demonstrated competence in effectively communicating ideas both orally and in writing to a wide variety of audiences. » Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and relationship management expertise. » capability to deal with concepts and complexity comfortably. » The capability to function independently and as part of a team, as required. » Tertiary qualification in significant discipline or equivalent work practice. » Must have the right to live and work in New Zealand How to submit the application: To apply, click the ‘Apply Now’ button to upload your CV, cover letter and complete the online application form.
