You'll need to be hard working and not afraid of some early mornings. Must be honest, reliable and have good time keeping. tasks to include: - Assist in milking of our 900 dairy cows through 44 bale rotary shed. (Currently milking twice a day) - Assist with maintaining dairy shed hygiene and cleanliness - Weed control (spot spraying thistles, boundary fencelines) - Depending on expertise / capability, assisting with other odd jobs such as fencing & vehicle maintenance. Training can be provided although we do prefer someone accustomed to outdoor work. General info: The farm is located 10mins drive from Rakaia / Leeston. Approx. 25mins drive to Rolleston & 40mins drive to Christchurch. Having your own transport would be very useful as we are not within walking distance of local shops. Accomodation is provided. 4 bedroom house A frame we At Presentoperate a double rotation roster of 8 on 2 off / 8 on 3 off. This is flexible though for this position and can be taylored to suit your needs. Must be drug free and able to pass pre employment drug test.
