If you don't mind getting up early to see the sunrises, you would love our farm of 325ha in size, its rolling hill land with the best sea views, 20 mins south of Timaru just off State Highway 1. We milk 980 Jersey girls through an 80 bail rotary dairyshed twice a day until February were we go to two milkings on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and one milking on Tuesdays, Thursday, Saturdays and Sundays. The roster is 6 days on and 2 days off. You would be miking with one other person, so not working alone, while the other person is getting the herds in. If you had practice you could also get cows in on our two wheeler bike. There would be temporary electric fences to put up and other farm jobs, fencing, weeding and farm maintenance to attend to as well. We would like for you to stay with us for 6 months if you could, start date around the beginning of October 2022. There is a newly built (2022) two bedroomed furnished unit with an attached garage to live in with heat pump, gas hot water and internet. This is $200 per week. We would have 80 - 100 hours of work per fortnight. Skills:
