We require a hard working, reliable and motivated person to join our team for the 2022/2023 season. As sharemilkers we aim to foster a positive working environment where all staff are appreciated and looked after. The farm is perfectly located in Winchmore which is halfway between Ashburton and Methven. Mt Hutt skifield is only 30min drive away. The area provides a lot of opportunities for many outdoor practices. Our closest city is Christchurch which is 1 hour drive. 

The prosperous applicant would ideally have some dairy farm practice with great shed hygiene, the capability to detect mastitis and excellent animal husbandry expertise, however training can be given.

The property milks 650 cows through a 50 bale rotary (in-shed feeding, ACR’s, auto teat spray and drafting). The farm is 185ha and spray irrigated via centre pivot, a rotorainer and a small area of sprinklers. Effluent is applied via centre pivot.
