This Dunedin based role revolves around servicing customers portable fire systems through the installation, service and maintenance of fire protection equipment across a variety of sites. The equipment you will be service includes, but is not limited to, fire extinguishers and fire hose reels. As a technician, you will also be responsible for demonstrating to clients the proper ways in which h to use their portable devices. This role will include: » Servicing portable fire equipment on our customer premises and recommending portable fire protection and safety systems and equipment to comply with specific New Zealand Standards » Providing excellent Customer service and advice to our clients on site » Using power tools to install and repair portable fire equipment such as extinguishers, hose reels and fire blankets » Present fire extinguisher usage training in a class environment for groups of customers » Identify and follow through any additional sales opportunities with existing and new portables customers » Using FieldService our mobile phone application to plan and organize your scheduleand manage your work orders to completion You will need the following: » A current Driver's License » NZQA New Zealand Certificate in Hand Operated Fire Fighting Equipment Level 3 or similar (or the ability to obtain one) » Some experience in a similar role where you are responsible for basic maintenance and / or mobile service delivery is desirable » An appreciation of excellent customer service and the ability to communicate with clients on site. » Good time management and organizational skills » The ability to work away from home when required To be considered for this position, please apply online and attach a current CV, two work related references and any relevant employment related certificates.
