Bring your fresh ideas to our practice Wellington learning team by creating inspiring digital learning practices for, with, by and between tamariki and rangatahi of Aotearoa.
We are seeking for a Learning Specialist with a digital focus to work primarily in our Media Lab and OnTV digital studio in Capital E. Collaborating with our wider team of creative minds and programming specialists in our Learning Team you will support, and get actively involved in, the development of new and collaborative learning across all practice Wellington sites - Capital E, Wellington Museum, Space Place, City Gallery Wellington, Cable Car Museum and Nairn St Cottage. Increasing engagement with M?ori audiences and embracing Te Ao M?ori is a priority.
You will be a flexible individual and thrive off sharing your ideas and collaborating with colleagues and audiences alike. Your engaging and genuine communication style will see you develop relationships with diverse audiences to support digital learning. practice in working with groups of all ages, especially tamariki and rangatahi and teachers, around digital creativity is a must. We are seeking for someone who can work independently and collaboratively, to bring fresh ideas for best practice programming in digital education, especially around digital inclusion with local schools and communities. expertise of the NZ Digital Technologies Curriculum, strong communication and facilitation expertise are essential. Teaching practice, expertise of moving image production and digital screen technologies preferred. Links with film, TV and screen industry a bonus.
The function will be primarily located at Capital E on the Wellington waterfront. This position is permanent, full time. Evening and weekend work may be required.
practice Wellington provides the city with world-class museums, cutting-edge contemporary art, the region's only publicly accessible space science practice and the only facility in New Zealand dedicated to tamariki and their creativity. Our visitor practices include: Capital E, SpacePlace at Carter Observatory, City Gallery Wellington, Nairn Street Cottage, Wellington Museum and the Cable Car Museum. We also support the operation of the New Zealand Cricket Museum.
